Play on Frisco 5K

We are celebrating July is Park & Rec Month with the new "Play on Frisco" Virtual 5k.

This event is designed to keep our community moving and playing! Gather up your family and friends (virtually), follow social distancing rules, and have fun competing for the prizes and bragging rights. Every registered participant gets an adult-sized tank top or youth-sized t-shirt.

Tie-dye Shirts: No size exchanges or refunds. Products are custom ordered by registration. Sizes are limited by supplier to S-2XL tank tops and YS-YL t-shirts.

Prizes

Top 3 Female and Top 3 Male finishers will win a free 2020 Frosty 5K Registration. We will also draw from all participants that submit their results by the deadline for free 2020 Frosty 5K registrations. So, even if it takes you two hours, you could still win a prize!

How it works:

1. Create a Race Roster account or login and register participants online from July 22 at 8am through July 29 at 4pm. Run is limited to the first 295 registrations.

2. Complete a 5K (3.1 miles) course between July 25 and Aug 1 by running or walking. You can use a free app like Runkeeper that will show your distance, time your 5K, and let you screenshot your race route, which is required to be eligible for timed awards, or just time yourself participating in the correct distance.

3. After you complete your 5K (3.1 miles) route, login to your account and report your results before Aug 1 at 11:59 PM. If you are competing for the top 3 finishers, a screenshot is required. https://results.raceroster.com/results/nkwurnmry6aujr93

4. Post your route screenshots and race selfies in the Facebook event and/or tag us in your social media posts so we can cheer you on!

5. We will post the award winners on our social media and contact them via email with prize information.

6. T-shirt Pick up is Friday, Aug. 7th & 8th at The Grove at Frisco Commons. No shirts will be mailed. If you cannot make the t-shirt pick-up, alternate days/times for pick up at the Frisco Athletic Center will be announced after Aug. 8th. Final pick-up details and times will be emailed to all registered participants after Aug. 1.
