Help Rohini raise money

For participating in Virtual SCADaddle & Mayo SCAD@Home

My Story…

On November 19, 2019 my sister, Ranjani, and our families met up for a much anticipated vacation in India. The two of us had planned every detail over the previous 3 months. Tragically, a few hours after we met up my sister passed away suddenly while taking an afternoon nap. Our world was shattered. The diagnosis was SCAD (Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection).

She had been diagnosed with FMD after her first episode of SCAD in 2014. The details of diagnosis were vague and much was unknown. She continued to follow her doctor's orders and maintained her active life. She was a brilliant audiologist, a "cool" mom, taught dance, played tennis and loved to dress up on Halloween. She lit up any place she was in with her beautiful, constant smile. Our family continues to be devastated by this loss but also sincerely wish that fewer families go through this terrible situation.

SCAD Research Inc has helped fund research into this diagnosis and on October 17 I will be participating in a Virtual 5k SCADaddle walk to raise funds and awareness of SCAD. The medical community as well as patients and their families need more information regarding causes, treatment and, most importantly, prevention of repeat episodes. For more information you can visit their website at www.scadresearch.org.

I request you to consider donating to this cause in memory of Ranjani. You can do this by joining my team or walking on your own to raise funds.  You can walk anywhere, and anytime and know that you will be making a difference in so many lives. Thank you!
