Due to the pandemic our 10th Annual Forever in Our Hearts Remembrance Day will be a virtual event! Since we are unable to gather in person this year, we invite you to do a walk in your own community with a small group of your friends and family sometime on the dates of October 15-18. The 2020 Virtual Forever in Our Hearts Remembrance Day is an opportunity to bring honor to our babies and healing to our hearts. The world feels uncertain right now, especially for families who are still healing from the loss of a child. Having the opportunity to gather together and receive support from friends and family in memory of our babies is even more important now, so we have decided to move forward with our annual event in a virtual format. We hope that it offers families a platform to speak their babies names and also to increase awareness of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness during the month of October.

This year's Virtual Event also offers individual fundraising pages to ensure future support to families who will sadly walk in our shoes one day. Mikayla's Grace still needs funds to continue all of our current programs that support families who have experienced the death of a baby or have a baby in the NICU.

The Virtual Event includes an online event page on Facebook where we can share pictures of our community gatherings or simply to share your baby's name or story to honor your baby. We will also be posting a video with all of the baby names remembered during the event. We encourage all participants to journey with their friends and family for a short reflective walk in their own community, following appropriate social distancing guidelines for your area. Together, we will create the same sense of community and support found at our in person walks.

How does the Virtual Forever In Our Hearts Remembrance Day work?

You register at the event page. Then you choose a spot and time for you and your family to walk on the weekend of October 15-18, 2020. Be sure to follow your local social distancing guidelines and even gather together online if it's not safe to gather in person.

Send us your Forever In Our Hearts Remembrance Day virtual event photos and share your photos with #ForeverInOurHearts2020 and #MikaylasGrace.

EARLY REGISTRATION BEFORE 9/24

Online EARLY REGISTRATION is available until Thursday, September 24th at midnight for shirts that will be delivered to your shipping address by the event date of 10/15. This year there will be a second batch of shirts that will be printed after 10/15 that will include baby names of any later registrants on the shirt, however shirts will ship out AFTER the event. Only registrations purchased by the first deadline of 9/24 will receive shirts by the event date.

Registrations 9/25/20 through 10/18/20 at 11:59 pm: will include baby names printed on back of t-shirts and shirts will ship ~2 weeks after event.

BABY NAMES

All registered baby names will be listed on the back of the Walk T-shirt and included in our Remembrance Day video if registered before online registration closes on Saturday, September 19th at midnight. Early registrations will receive their shirts prior to 10/15 to wear on the event date. Additional baby names can be added after EARLY online registration closes but shirts for those registrations will not be printed or shipped until after the event on 10/15.

ONLINE VIDEO

The video including all baby names will be available online Thursday, October 15, 2020 on the Facebook Event page and shared on our YouTube Channel.
