Please social distance during the event. ***DUE TO COVID 19 RESTRUCTIONS we are asking all runners and walkers to wear a mask when lining up at the starting line. Masks may be removed when the races start and the runner crosses the starting line. *** IF COVID 19 REGULATIONS PROHIBIT A LIVE EVENT, THE RACES WILL PROCEED AS A VIRTUAL RUN. Valley Head Cemetery Run In Memory Of has grown. We added a 10K last year by request and the response was great. The course for all races begins on the square in Valley Head. The route will take runners through the valley on a scenic run up Violet Hill Road and back to the town square. Runners can choose between a 5K, a 10K or Kids Fun Run Registration forms are available at Valley Head Town Hall and Hammondville Town Hall, our Facebook page, at registration on the morning of the race or you can request one by mail by calling Sherryl 256-657-1616

Help us honor your loved ones by sponsoring a memorial in their name and we will run in their memory. Come run or walk with us in memory of all the memorials.

If you would like to sponsor a memorial or an ad, make a donation or for more info contact Sherryl Lewis at 256-657-1616. (deadline for the memorials and ads is August 31, 2020.)

Prizes for the 5K and 10K overall Male and Female finishers will be awarded.

The top 3 Male and Female 5K and 10K finishers in each age category will receive medals.

Ribbons will be given to each of the Fun Run Participants and medals will be given to the top 3 Fun Run finishers.

Register by September 19, 2020 to guarantee a t-shirt.

Kids Fun Run begins immediately following the 5K/10K.

All Proceeds will go toward maintaining the cemetery. Please note that your entry fee is non-refundable. We will run rain or shine; but we reserve the right to delay or cancel in the event of threatening weather.
