Move with purpose and join me in the fight against Pancreatic Cancer!
2020 has proven to be a year of uncertain times; due to COVID-19 patients in need of medical treatment and/or assistance are facing difficulties from cancelled or postponed appointments and financial hardship.
What is my WHY?
On November 1st, I will running a virtual 26.2 miles for the TCS NYC Marathon in memory of my father who I lost to pancreatic cancer to raise funds for Project Purple. The mission at Project Purple is to find a cure for pancreatic cancer and to improve the lives of patients through support, hope and compassion. They provide funding for critical pancreatic cancer research as well as patient financial aid. It is their goal to provide a positive outlet for the patients and families affected by this disease. Though the five-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer stands at just 10%, with your help we can make the vision of a world without pancreatic cancer a reality!
So join me in the fight against pancreatic cancer by walking or running 2.62 miles anywhere on 9/26/2020 in honor of the miles that I will be running in November; I would love if you post a picture of yourself after your walk/run to your social media to bring awareness of Project Purple efforts for a world without pancreatic cancer! The low entry fee is $6.0 and goes toward my marathon fundraising efforts. For your entry fee you will help in the fight and get a bib for your virtual race!
