Virtual 5K Run
In observance of UN International Day of Peace
Sep 20 – Sep 27 2020

Set the pace with us and run (or walk) for International Day of Peace! The run is scheduled Sept 20 through 27 to coincide with UN’s International Day of Peace – Sept 21. This is a day of non-violence and a time to reflect on how we can collaborate and work towards a more equitable future. This year, with a global pandemic and ever-present discrimination against BIPoC communities, it’s particularly important to encourage dialogue around conflict transformation on International Day of Peace…and beyond.

This year marks the UN’s 75^th Anniversary and their theme for International Day of Peace is Shaping Peace Together. Read more on their website.

For those who can’t attend larger protests or gatherings due to COVID, a virtual run is a great way to show your support for movements, like Black Lives Matter. We encourage all runners to show us why you’re running:

All donations (minus processing fees) will go to Children’s Peace Theatre (CPT), a Toronto BIPoC centered collective with an arts based approach to Conflict Transformation. Learn more about CPT and how your donation can help on our Donate Page, or visit Children's Peace Theatre.

The run/walk is virtual so feel free to create your own route, and share it! We encourage you to use RunKeeper, or another tracking app. When you’re done, RunKeeper will sync your results to our run page, or you can visit us Here and enter your time.
