48th Annual Newark Turkey Trot 10k / 5k

The 2020 Turkey Trot is going virtual! No need to check the weather or worry about the hill at the corner of Valley and Church Roads. This year's run is on your own terms. You can still complete the event with your family or inner circle, if you would like. The process is simple.

- Must register by November 13 for a choice sized shirt.
- Completion of the event can be from 11/13 through 11/29.
- Drive through shirt pickup 11/20 (9 a.m. – 6 p.m.) & 11/21 (9 a.m. – 12 p.m.) at the Newark Municipal Building
- Cost $15 for either the 10K or 5K and $20 if doing both
- No tee shirts after 11/20 at noon

How It Works

1. Register - Choose your event: 5K (3.1 miles) or 10K (6.2 miles) or both (9.3 miles)
2. Race - Walk or run ANY day November 13-29. Use a fitness watch or smartphone app to track your distance and time. Take a picture of your record.
3. Share - Submit your time and picture of your record. Submit your results. Share photos on Facebook and Instagram!

   There are many free apps that you can download and use to record your virtual results. Use one of these apps to track your run or walk. Or use your favorite app or smartwatch. Most importantly, don't forget to save your activity and upload your results!

Online registration closes Friday, November 20th at 5pm.

Benefits

James F. Hall Scholarship Fund to provide tuition assistance to youth who would otherwise be unable to participate in activities and programs through Newark Parks and Recreation Department.

Share Your Results

1. Find your Race Roster registration receipt email and locate your confirmation number. (The email will be from Race Roster "therunner@raceroster.com")

2. Click "Submit a virtual result" on the results page.

3. Enter your name and the confirmation number from your receipt in the dialog box that appears. You will be prompted to enter the results of anyone you registered.

4. Enter your results. (If you registered multiple people, you will be able to submit their results now. Or you can come back later to post more results.)

5. Click submit once complete.

6. Print your finisher certificate
