f6 Networks Run for the Shelters presented by Fredericton Marathon and Atlantic Chip

Though it is hard to imagine, soon the leaves will turn and start to fall, and thoughts will turn to winter and all that it brings. We firmly believe no one should be left out in the cold.

The f6 networks Run for The Shelters presented by Fredericton Marathon & Atlantic Chip is an event designed to support the Fredericton Homeless Shelters and its mission to restore human dignity to those who are experiencing homelessness. It will feature a fundraising 3k, 5k and 8k run/walk on Sunday, October 18, 2020.

Under the provincial government’s COVID-19 public health measures, this event will only take place during the yellow phase implementing: staggered start times; physical distancing measures; limited spectators; limited volunteers; self-service water stops. *This event will transform automatically into a virtual run should Public Health change the COVID-19 phase from yellow to a lesser degree such as outbreak status.

Registration is $25 plus taxes and processing fees. Your registration fee will go directly to Fredericton Homeless Shelters Inc., with your registration information shared for tax receipt purposes only. **The first 150 registered participants will receive a commemorative Runner’s Dri-Fit T-shirt; size NOT guaranteed.**

This event features chip-timed Crosspoint Contracting 3k, Bowman’s Pharmasave 5k and Valley Graphics 8k for out-and-back runs along the city’s riverfront trail system to and from St. John House (Victoria Health Centre).

Start times commence at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 18. Race kit pick-up will be held at the Delta Marriott Fredericton between 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17.
