Virtual Walk to End the Stigma
September 18 - October 18, 2020
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, ARCH has re-envisioned our Guelph AIDS Walk into a virtual version.
How to participate?
Between now and October 18th, you can choose how many kilometres you would like to walk (or run), make it a solo event or create a team, and fundraise to help support the programs offered by ARCH -HIV/AIDS Resources & Community Health. Invite friends, family, coworkers to support your walk! Then, save the date, October 18th, when we will mark our event date with a celebration.
Want an extra challenge? Take on the ARCH CHALLENGE! Raise money solo or with a team!
- Walk/Run/Move 31km
- Walk/Run/Move 100km
All participants will receive a small ARCH mask as a thank you for participating by October 18th.
Why participate?
The AIDS Walk is an integral and historical part of global AIDS activism and fundraising. Despite the many important innovations in HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention, approximately 15% of people with HIV are unaware of their status. ARCH continues to respond to HIV/AIDS in our community by providing education about how to get tested and how to prevent HIV. We also offer HIV clinical services and support to people living with HIV/ AIDS, their families, friends and caregivers. Proceeds from the campaign will be used to help deliver services for individuals and communities who are affected by and at-risk for HIV/AIDS in the Guelph- Wellington and Grey-Dufferin Counties.
