Our story…
Paul and I, along with my cousin, Dianna Cornell, have decided to participate in the National Blood Clot Alliance Virtual 5K Run/Walk (I emphasize walk!) to Stop the Clot in loving memory of our son, Paul Englert, Jr., and to celebrate the fact that Dianna is a PE survivor!
We lost Paul, a healthy and active 19 year old working 3 jobs and going to college, suddenly 7 years ago to a pulmonary embolism with no warning and the only symptom was shortness of breath. Ironically, Dianna, who is not only my cousin but Pauly's godmother, was diagnosed with PE's only mere months after Paul passed away due to medication she was taking at the time.
We feel very strongly about raising awareness of the risk factors and symptoms of blood clots, and with the current world health situation, it is not possible to do fundraisers like we normally do. This was the next best option.
Please consider donating to our page or joining us virtually from your hometown! You can join our group if you would like.
