The VB Strong Center in partnership with Sentara Healthcare is a community resource center and hub of support, information and connection for all individuals impacted by the tragic events that took place at the City of Virginia Beach Municipal Center on 5-31-2019. The doors of the VB Strong Center opened on October 29, 2019 and immediately the team worked hand in hand with city employees, community members, and non-profit and private sector partners to continue building an emotional foundation of support for recovery. This 5K is in recognition of the perseverance and resiliency of everyone touched by the losses and events of 5/31 in our local communities, through the United States and beyond.

Your participation in the VB Strong Center Virtual 5K will contribute to the ongoing support for programs and services being provided by the VB Strong Center. To date, more than 70 people have connected with the VB Strong team to receive individual support services while 300+ individuals have participated in wellness programs, classes and support groups designed to assist and inspire each individual’s path to recovery and resiliency.
