Welcome Back to the 3rd Annual Run for the Village 5K!
Race Description
Come on out for an official, chip-timed 5K Run/Walk around the community of Martin Downs & Crane Creek in Palm City, FL. Last year's event hosted over 250 participants and raised funds for the programming budget and future on-site recreational projects. This year we will offer an in-person race or virtual option for those who want to support the VCP's key fall fundraiser but conduct the run/walk on their own. While we may need to tweak certain parts of our traditional event this year (what a 2020 this has been!), we look forward to hosting our run in a safe and thoughtful manner.
About the Race & Course
The 3rd Annual event is an official, measured 5K course, and chip timed race. The course will begin and end at the Village Club & Preserve. Water will be provided on the course and refreshments will be offered at the course completion.
Timing
Chip timing will be provided by Southern Timing, LLC. Southern Timing will be providing state-of-the-art race timing with live results, instant results sent right to your phone, a 20 second video of you crossing the start and finish lines, and an individual results page with all of your race information! There will be a QR code on all race bibs that will take you to the results page on race day and Southern Timing will provide results kiosks for you to search your results after you finish the race!

Swag
All participants will receive a goodie bag with a race shirt and other items and there will be finisher medals for all 5K run and virtual 5K participants.
About The Village Club & Preserve
The Village Club & Preserve is a non-profit organization focused on building community through attainable youth athletic lessons and enrichment programming for all ages (visit www.villageclubpreserve.com for more info).
Packet Pick-Up
There will be 2 days of packet pick-up. Packet Pick-up will be held at The Village Club & Preserve 2261 SW Racquet Club Dr, Palm City, FL 34990. If you are unable to make it to packet pick-up you can pick up your race packet on race morning starting at 6:30am.

COVID-19 Race Procedures
Your safety is of the utmost importance to us. This is why we will be taking every precaution necessary to ensure that we can have a safe and fun race. A brief overview of some of the safety precautions we are taking is a 5 minute rolling wave start, masks encouraged while in the registration and packet pick-up areas but not while running and pre-packaged light snacks. We do ask that if you are feeling sick or showing symptoms of COVID-19 leading up to or on the day of the race to please contact us and we will happily transfer you to the virtual race free of charge. A complete list of our safety precautions will be uploaded shortly for your convenience.
