I have already signed up for the Westpac City- Bay Fun Run, will I be automatically transferred to the virtual event
Yes. All participants who registered for the 2020 Westpac City-Bay Fun Run Presented by Sunday Mail (including those who have withdrawn or deferred their entry to 2021) will receive entry into the 2020 virtual event and the 2021 event to be held on the 19 September 2021. If you did not receive this email, please contact our customer service team for support – admin@city-bay.org.au
When do I have to complete my virtual Run?
All participants have between 00:01 AEST Saturday 24 October 2020 and 23:59 AEST Monday 14 December 2020 to complete their virtual run and submit their results.
I am already signed up, can I change my distance?
Yes, you can change your distance. Please send an email to our customer service team – admin@city-bay.org.au – and they will be able to assist you with processing the change. In the email please include the full name on the registration, your current event, and the event you wish to change in to. No admin fee applies for race changes.
Can I sign up and take part in more then one distance?
Yes! We have a number of bundle options available when you register which will grant you entry into two or more events. Bundle options include:
Bundle 1: Half Marathon, 12km 6km, 5km and 3km
Bundle 2: Half Marathon, 12km, 6km, 5km
Bundle 3: 12km and 6km, 5km
Bundle 4: 6km, 5km and 3km
Bundle 5: Half Marathon 6km and 5km
Bundle options are only valid for each individual participant and cannot be redeemed and shared amongst multiple people.
Is there a limit/cut off for any distance?
No, you can take each distance at your own pace. Run City-Bay your way! However, just like the physical event please ensure that you have sufficiently trained and to the best of your knowledge, you are not suffering from a condition, illness, injury or other physical disability or impairment that may prevent you/or render you unfit to participate in the virtual run.
Can I run this anywhere, including a treadmill?
Yes, participants can participate and complete their event in their preferred way, including running on a treadmill. We ask all participants to adhere to local government guidelines in place when taking part in their race.
Please select a safe route to run and take special care around traffic or when running off road.
How do I upload my result?
Instructions on how to upload your result can be downloaded here. https://results.raceroster.com/results/qaccqxytbxbaqsrt
Please note, you will not be able to upload your result until the 24 October 2020.
Will I receive a bib to run with?
Participants will receive a downloadable bib which will feature the name entered during the registration process. The bib can be accessed via the link shared in your registration confirmation email. This can be printed off and worn when completing your race. It is not compulsory to wear your bib when completing the virtual event, but we encourage running with your bib to feel part of the Westpac City-Bay community and for those important selfies pre- and post-race!

Will I receive a Finishers Certificate?
Once you have submitted a result, you will receive a virtual Certificate in your online portal along with your result. To access this, use your confirmation number and last name to log into the result page here> https://results.raceroster.com/en-US/results/qaccqxytbxbaqsrt. Be sure to share your achievement via social!

Where can I find results?
The Official Results page can be found through the Race Roster website.
Is participating in the virtual event safe?
Prior to taking part in the virtual run, make sure you are COVID-19 safe and are up to date with all local government COVIS safe guidelines. Most importantly:
1. Download the COVID safe app (Australia)
2. Practice good hygiene
3. Maintain social distancing
4. Stay inside if you are unwell
Please select a safe route to run and take special care around traffic or when running off road. Some routes can be terribly busy (especially on the weekends) so it is best to avoid common walk routs to ensure a smooth run.
Can I run the usual route(s)?
The event cannot be run along the traditional route.
As normal road closures will not be in place this year, its especially important participants abide by normal traffic rules and do not run on the roads.
However, our team have created some fantastic routes that you can enjoy in the North, South, East and West of Adelaide!

Can I run in a group?
We encourage participants to run solo or with a friend however we appreciate each regions COVID regulations are different.
Please ensure you understand your local rules and follow accordingly.
