Earlier this year, I signed up to run the NYC Marathon for Project Purple and in memory of my grandma, Rona, who I lost to pancreatic cancer in 2013. The NYC Marathon on November 1st has since been canceled due to COVID-19. Instead, I am hosting Rona's Run for Project Purple in memory of my grandma and in honor Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month.
Join me in completing a virtual month-long marathon (26.2 miles) to support Project Purple. These miles can be run, walked, or biked over the entire month of November. That’s less than 1 mile a day!
The entry fee is $10.10 to represent my Grandma’s birthday on October 10th. All entry fees and donations will go to Project Purple. Everyone registered is entered in a raffle to win some Project Purple goodr sunglasses!
Project Purple's mission is to find a cure for pancreatic cancer and to improve the lives of patients through support, hope and compassion. Project Purple provides funding for critical pancreatic cancer research as well as patient financial aid. Though the five-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer stands at just 10%, we know that with your help we can make our vision of a world without pancreatic cancer a reality!
Thank you for your support!
