ABOUT REGISTRATION:
Register before November 1st and receive the $30 early BIRD special! Price increases to $40 thereafter.
There will be a packet pick up on Friday, November 6, 2020 from 3 to 6pm and on Saturday, November 7th from 8 to 10am, the official start of the virtual run, in the back parking lot at St. Linus School located at 10400 Lawler Avenue in Oak Lawn, IL 60453. You must be registered by November 1 to be guaranteed your shirt size!
Even though we cannot celebrate the day together we are excited to host our 7th annual Virtual 5K and we want to THANK YOU for your involvement and support!!
ABOUT THE PROCEEDS/DONATIONS:
The money raised from our past Annual Turkey Trots supported our Chromebook initiative. Our students and the teachers have used this technology to individualize instruction and enhance each student’s overall education across various subjects. This was vital when we went to all eLearning last March. In light of that and our continued use of eLearning, this year we added 4th and 5th grade to our Chromebook Initiative so funding from the 2020 Virtual Turkey Trot will support adding these students to the program. In addition, funding will help us provide necessary software, hardware and other programs in order to meet the demands of eLearning during these unprecedented times. We are so grateful to all of you for your support of St. Linus School through this event!
This will be the 3rd year that the Turkey Trot funds the Erica Heilmann scholarship. Fellow school families, parishioners, and beyond have been honored to have witnessed and been touched by Erica’s volunteerism and unwavering dedication to our children and St. Linus School and Parish as a whole. The run will be accompanied by an annual 7th grade essay on altruism and serving the community to which the most regarded essay will be rewarded a contribution toward tuition.

How to Virtually Run The Gobble Gobble Run or Wobble 5K!
Below are details on running our virtual race!
- Run anytime between November 7 and November 21, 2020.
- Choose your own course
- Most importantly….have fun and enjoy the time outside!
All participants will receive the official Gobble Gobble Run or Wobble Race Shirt and a participation medal!
Follow these easy steps to prepare for your tracking:
 TRACKING STEPS 1. Download the ASICS Runkeeper™ app to your phone and create an account or scroll down to log into an existing account Once you have completed your 5k distance in the app, save your workout and it will automatically post to Race Roster results. (This step must be followed from your mobile device) |
 VIEWING AND POSTING MANUAL RESULTS If you plan to record using another software or tracking device or post manually from what is recorded on your watch, simply head here and "Submit Virtual Result" between November 7 and November 21, 2020. |
FAQS:
- To record with tracking on the ASICS Runkeeper™ app, you will need to run or walk with your phone or with a connected wearable (see instructions below)
- You do not have to track with these technologies, it is optional!
