2020 BackRoads Fall Running Programs
October 19th-December 11th
Due to COVID restrictions we are limiting the number of team members in each program. Everyone who registers for the program will have exclusive access and will be guaranteed a seat in the taproom post run. Therefore, only those who register will have access to the BackRoads Taproom after each run! BackRoads Team members will receive training programs and organized coaching to optimize their success.
FIT & FAB RUNNING PROGRAM
The BackRoads "Fit & Fab" group is perfect for those looking to stay fit, or train for a 10 km to half marathon. The program will prepare you to run this distance for the first time, or help you improve your personal best times. There will be TWO Fit and Fab programs this Fall. One group will run Mondays and Wednesdays and another group will run Tuesdays and Thursdays. These groups will start on Monday, October 19th and Tuesday, October 20th at 6:00 pm.
- 8 week Training Program for those who can currently run a minimum of 5 km.
- $70.00 tx – Please register on Race Roster.
- Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:00 pm and Saturdays at 8:30 am (long run).
- Mondays will be Workouts (intervals, repeats, tempo, hills etc.).
- Wednesdays will be Social Runs (5 km – 10 km).
OR
- Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:00 pm and Saturdays at 8:30 am (long run).
- Tuesdays will be Workouts (intervals, repeats, tempo, hills etc.).
- Thursdays will be Social Runs (5 km – 10 km).
The Monday & Wednesday group will be bigger than the Tuesday & Thursday group because the Half Marathon Group + will also be training on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- Instructors and Group Leaders offer outstanding support.
- Routes provided.
- Facebook private group for important communication.
- Expert advice for running and gear, including shoes.
- Social events – depending upon recommendations by Public Health Officials.
Half Marathon + Program
The Half Marathon program is perfect for those who are experienced at the half marathon distance and are looking to improve their speed over the distance. This program is designed for those who can already run the half marathon (or longer) distance for a “long” run. The Half Marathon program will start on Tuesday, October 20th, 2020, at 6:00 pm. NEW to this program will be the addition of a Thursday speed workout option.
- 8 week Training Program for those who can currently run the half marathon distance provided for each participant.
- $70.00 tx
- Tuesday Workouts: 6:00 pm – repeats/intervals, tempo, etc.
- Thursday Speed Work: 6:00pm (shorter interval speed training focused on 5 km and 10 km race distances).
- OR Thursday Social Runs: 6:00 pm – varied distances.
- Saturday Long Runs: 8:30 am – varied distances.
- Instructors and Group Leaders offer outstanding support.
- Routes provided.
- Facebook private group for important communication.
- Expert advice for running and gear, including shoes.
- Social events – depending upon recommendations by Public Health Officials.
