The 5th Annual "Virtual" Veterans VA5K Race will be held Saturday, Nov. 7 through Sunday, Nov. 8. The event will benefit the Lexington Veterans Affairs Medical Center and the soon-to-be-constructed Lexington Fisher House, which will provide lodging for the families of veterans being treated at the medical center. The Lexington Division of Community Corrections and Columbia Gas of Kentucky and its NiVets Employee Resource Group are presenting and coordinating sponsors of the event.
EVENT DETAILS AND SCHEDULE
Cost: Advanced registration, through Oct. 21, is $38 per adult participant age 18 and older, $20 for youths under 18, and $35 per member for teams of 10 or more. Starting Oct. 22nd through the day of the event, an additional $5 will be charged per registrant.
Shirts are guaranteed for mailing only for participants who register by Oct. 25th. Registration is open through Nov. 7.
Submitting Race Timing: Return to the race website, VeteransVA5K.com, starting Nov. 6 to submit your timing under your registration profile. All times must be entered by 4 pm Sunday, Nov. 8.
Awards: Competitive participants can enter their finish times on an honor system. Prizes will go to the top 5 male and female finishers overall and top 3 finishers in each of the following age groups: 10 & Under, 11-15, 16-20, 21-25, 26-30, 31-35, 36-40, 41-45, 46-50, 51-60, 61-70, 71-100, and over 100. There will be no duplication of awards. Prizes will be mailed to winners.
