Howlin' Moon 5K 2020

Claire Lilienthal School annual 5k Run

Come run/walk and support Clare Lilienthal Public Elementary School at the Howlin' Moon 5K and Kids 1K Fun Run/Walk! This year we're going Virtual. Official Race Day is November 15th, but you can participate any time between November 6 and November 22 (updated!) and upload your times and send in photos of you running the race!

Sign up and join us. Your run and donation goes to a great charitable cause. The modest registration fee provides funds to a local public school, consisting of a diverse body of students who come from all corners of San Francisco to thrive and learn at Claire Lilienthal Alternative Public School.

In 2020, we need some outdoor fun and community bonding more than ever! Register and join us!

We will be sharing suggested 5k and 1k routes around the city for you to run, but you can also choose your own! Traditionally we do the Crissy Field course from the yacht club around the warming hut and back, but this year you can run anywhere you like!

HOWLIN’ MOON 2020 Routes


5K Suggestions

Course 1:

The Crissy Field 5k Run: Traditionally we meet at the entrance to Crissy Field and run around the warming hut and back, but there many ways to run 5K at Crissy Field. Here are two possible routes at Crissy Field:

Course 2:

The Rainbow Falls 5K course: This Golden Gate Part run starts at the barricade on JFK and Crossover Drive (under the overpass). The turnaround on JFK is just before the barricade at Kezar Drive and as you come back you make the right onto Conservatory Drive and loop back onto JFK and continue west to the finish just inside the barricade at Crossover Drive.

Course 3:

A SOMA running route: More urban than the other routes, but looks safe and fun.

1K Suggestions

Howlin' Moon Traditional Route:

Start/Finish at the entrance to Crissy Field from Marina Green, and turnaround fat the far side of the footbridge on the promenade.

Kezar:

2.5 laps on the track

Golden Gate Park:

Polo Field to Big Tree
