"Heart for the Home" Virtual 5K

Join us for a virtual 5k to support Galilean Home Ministries. The event will take place wherever you wish- your treadmill, track, neighborhood, or roadway.

WHY Should You Run/Walk?

Our goal is to raise money for Galilean Home Ministries. For many years, the Galilean Home has been known to have "Faith, hope, and room for one more". Their mission states:

"Galilean Home Ministries is a non-profit, mission oriented organization, functioning in a collaborative community environment, with one purpose in mind: Helping those that need help; loving those that need love. Without knowing the love and security of a family, their faith and confidence have been shattered. We will, with honesty, integrity, and great privilege, provide children of all ages, from one day old to “children in their 50’s and beyond”, with love, care, medical attention, education, employment, and recreation. We do this in a family-oriented setting, making all who come under our care feel as though they belong to something bigger than themselves. We emphasize that all members of our organization work together to accomplish our common goals. We feel that, through sharing each other’s knowledge, skills, and abilities, all will benefit and flourish."

Something for Everyone:

Register for the race anytime before your race day!

All you have to do is complete the 5k anytime before November 29th.

Reminder for all: When you walk/run please post your photos on our Facebook page! Feel free to show off your "Heart for the Home" shirt as well if you order one!

RUNNERS-

If you sign up as a runner, you can submit your best time to compete for a prize. Simply track your run using an app, Fitbit, Apple watch, etc. Take a screenshot or photo of the finished logged time, and e-mail it to heartforthehome5k@gmail.com ...

Winners will be announced December 2nd on the facebook page "Heart for the Home Virtual 5k".

There will be prizes for each age group winner and one over all winner award. Winners will be contacted once announced.

Age groups are as follows:

*14 and below

*15-19

*20-29

*30-39

*40-49

*50-59

*60 and above

Since runners are competing for prizes, registration is $30.

16 years old and younger runners registration fee is $15.

WALKERS-

As a walker, you can simply submit proof of your walk by taking a photo and posting it to our Facebook page! We would love to see this accomplishment! Walking in with your friends/family is always an option as well! Make it fun and enjoy it!

Registration for walkers is $25 for individuals over the age of 16.

16 years old and younger walkers registration fee is $15.

All T-shirt order proceeds from LaLaLucyBlue are also being donated to Galilean Home Ministries!
