Run Local, in partnership with the SBAA, is excited to reintroduce this November classic to the American Riviera & welcome everyone to a FREE virtual Santa Barbara Half Marathon and 5K benefiting local youth runners.

Runners and walkers will register right here on Race Roster and be provided the option to sync a GPS device with the Runkeeper™ app or manually upload it to the leaderboard beginning on Friday, November 20. Detailed instructions will be provided in your participant welcome email and you can submit your entries here.

Prizes will be awarded to overall winners and at random to registered participants who log their Half Marathon or 5K run/walks. Prizes include shoes & apparel from HOKA ONE ONE, gift certificates to SB Running Co. and the Run Local Shop!

SBAA Grand Prix participants can have this event applied to the overall standings. Learn more about the 2020 Virtual GP here.

Please consider a donation and fundraise to benefit local youth runners in lieu of your registration fee.

Proceeds of the event will support Santa Barbara Athletic Association's program in conjunction with Girls, Inc. to provide young runners with shoes and the equipment they need to ensure that economic need is not a barrier to their ability to begin a lifelong love of running and a healthy lifestyle.

For the 2020 Santa Barbara Half Marathon, we are seeking to raise $5,000 to expand this program to more young runners as well as to more youth organizations. As part of participating in this free event, please consider donating some of what your normal entry fee would be and help provide children the opportunity to run throughout our community!

Each participant will also have the option of personalizing a fundraising page and sharing this opportunity with friends and family.
