Every year, FDU(P) hosts the Turkey Run to raise funds to provide turkeys for the Goldstream Food Bank. Along with other events, the Unit has an annual target of $15,000. This goes a long way to help over 750 Westshore Families during the Holiday Season.

This year is quite a bit different for all of us. COVID-19 has impacted all of us. The need is greater than ever, however, our ability to bring the community together to help those less fortunate has been hampered. In order to work toward our goal we had to get creative…..

Turkey Run is going virtual! We will be hosting the run through Race Roster this year. From December 7th-16th, you will have the opportunity to run or walk 5 km and log your time. This year we will host a free event with a mandatory donation of $20, and the option to participate as a fundraiser! (Instructions for your individual fundraising page will follow up in an email).

This is a great opportunity to get out, exercise and help put turkeys on the table. Not only will you be contributing to a great cause, but you will be promoting your own physical and mental well-being.
