RACE DETAILS...
Race: September 25-26, 2021. Races offered are the 100 mile Centurion walk, 100K run and a Community Challenge. There is a 24 hour, 30 minute time limit for the Centurion walk. If you complete the 100 miles in under 24 hours you will become an American Centurion and will receive a US Centurion number. After our 2016 race we saw the addition of seven new American Centurions, raising the number to 87. In 2017 we saw one additional person raise the number to 88 people who have ever walked 100 miles in under 24 hours on American Soil. Now it's up to 94! The next available number is #95... Who will claim it??? To see the list, Please visit: http://www.unitedstatescenturionwalkers.com/
New this year is a 50 mile Kennedy March! In 1962 President Kennedy challenged Americans to be able to walk 50 miles. The Dutch have withheld this tradition with a Kennedy Friends March. This year will start the official US Kennedy March list! That's right, someone will get to be #1 on the list! Be the first person to walk 50 miles in under 12 hours and receive a uniquely numbered award. The race starts at 12:00 noon and has a 12 hour cutoff to make the Kennedy March list, however, you may continue past the 12 hour cutoff to finish 50 miles if you wish. If you want to attempt both the 100 Mile Centurion and the 50 Mile Kennedy pick the combo pack at check out.
The 100K run will start at 12:00 and have a 24 hour cutoff.
The race will be Sanctioned by USA Track & Field. The start will be by the northern pavilion and the loop will be raced counter clockwise. There will be nighttime lighting throughout the park during the night, however it would be advisable to bring an auxiliary lighting source just in case.
The Community Challenge is available to all people who would like to challenge themselves along with the Centurions. Participants may go as far as they want, from one lap to 30! Be part of the excitement along with the Centurions and runners!! Registration for the Community Challenge does not include a free T-Shirt. T-Shirts are available for purchase for $15. There is a 3-hour time limit. The Community Challenge race starts at 6:00 PM on Saturday evening.
THERE ARE NO REFUNDS.
