More information about the weekend
The CR0WLEY BROTHERS' MEMORIAL ROAD EVENTS! The best 10K championship race in New England and host of the RRCA Eastern 10K Championships. Why? This year, with your support and the support of the Rutland Region Chamber of Commerce, there are exciting Race Weekend events designed for the athletes and to attract spectators and visitors. Sunday's main event of the RRCA Eastern 10K Championship race also includes the Half Marathon, 10K relay, the Annual 5K race, 5K Walk, Kid's Downtown Mile Fun Run and 5K Corporate Challenge Walk. Yes, this is a weekend full of events for runners, athletes and families....something for everyone! This year the Crowley is proud to announce its support of our brave soldiers, wounded, vets, and their families. Please join us in supporting these brave men and women who are true patriots.
The 22nd Annual Kids’ Downtown Mile Run is also slated to be bigger than ever. This event has grown from 50 runners to 300 in the past few years. Children from the Rutland County schools participate in this event along with young runners from Canada, and all other states in New England. This is a fun run for children with the main purpose of promoting healthy hearts and bodies through youth fitness. This event celebrates a week long “fitness for the heart” in the area schools.
Olympian, Bill Rodgers, is returning for his 12th year along with "Marathon Woman", Katherine Switzer as runners.
Don’t miss any of the weekend events.
Support the fight against the #1 killer of men and women…Heart Disease…, and help educate our youth to be heart healthy and physically fit. This year the Crowley is also saluting our brave soldiers and their families. Please support our troops who give so much.
Get ready! The 43rd running of the Crowley Brother's Memorial 10K Road Race Events, Half Marathon, 5K race, 5K walking events, and Kids' Mile Run will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at 8 AM. These races are certified: Half Marathon (13.1 miles), 10 K (6.2 miles) and 5 K (3.1 miles) point to point championship courses from Proctor to Rutland, Vermont.
The reason all racers need to be thinking now about this June event is to celebrate the fight against cardiovascular disease, the #1 killer of men and women and to show our support for our brave soldiers and their families who give so much of themselves for us, the American public. We are grateful! Show your support by wearing patriotic colors at your registered race.
Crowley Brothers' Memorial Road Race
