Help Rafaella raise money

Hi everyone! 

It's that time of year again! As you may know, for the past...10 years? more? I've participated in the Sporting Life 10k in support of Camp Ooch.

In the past 5 years, however, this run has come to mean SO much more than just a (somewhat) painful 10km of pounding the pavement down Yonge Street. It has become an opportunity for me to raise money for a cause that I know and have seen FIRSTHAND is truly life changing for these kids.
Camp Ooch is a camp for kids with or affected by childhood cancer. Matt and I have volunteered with Ooch for over 5 years - at overnight camp in Muskoka, on the 8th floor of Sick Kids hospital, and in their various programs held in Toronto at their College Street location. Regardless of WHERE "Camp Ooch" programming is, WHAT it does and HOW it makes these kids feel is irreplaceable and immeasurable. It allows for these kids to do that....simply be kids. Having our own kid (coupled with COVID, etc.) has made it challenging for us to offer our own time in the past year -- which is why, this year, fundraising has become our focus and way of spreading that Ooch magic by providing MORE kids with "that Ooch feeling".

Further, as with everyone and everything, Ooch has been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and they need our help now more than ever to raise money to provide programming for these kids. They have pivoted to provide virtual programming over the past year and are also working to provide some safe, COVID-friendly in person experiences this summer, too.
