Our Story...
Hello Supporters!
We've been on this 10km journey for quite a few years now. We have travelled down Yonge Street marching to the beat of our own drums amongst thousands of others. We have travelled independently-together. Whether looking to break personal bests, or just to finish. We have run, walked, hobbled, waddled... one year Parker even rode his bike. We've included family, friends and four-leggeds on this journey.
Each year has been different, each year has been a challenge... each year WE HAVE RAISED OUR GOAL... a goal to send one child to camp for a week! THANK YOU! :)
This year will be different. This year there will be no in person camp, there will be no mass of people running down Yonge Street. This year will be a masked or virtual version of everything. This may make this the most important run yet!
Camp Ooch is helping to provide camaraderie and connection for children with cancer through virtual and social distanced events and activities. The events provide a break, laughter, shared moments of friendship during their fight with a horrible disease.

Description
A diagnosis of childhood cancer changes life in an instant.
For affected kids and families, it can suddenly feel like everything is about cancer. Camp Ooch offers a hopeful journey, where kids with cancer can just be kids, and families connect with a community of strength and support when they need it the most.
They are much more than a summer camp—they offer the social cure for childhood cancer. Their camp-inspired programs deliver fun, friendship, and community to 1,900 kids and 745 families year-round, all across Ontario. As a response to COVID-19, virtual camp and in-hospital programs continue to reach kids and families living in isolation, wherever they are.
