To date, our efforts have resulted in nearly 8 million dollars going to the fight against childhood brain cancer with valuable discoveries and progress made. The Prayers from Maria Foundation, inspired by the life and prayers of Maria McNamara, is a foundation built out of love and compassion for children who suffer, and have died, from the deadliest brain tumors. Our mission is to honor childhood cancer patients with the attention they rightfully deserve by reversing the tragic lack of funding and raising awareness to advance the most meaningful children’s brain cancer research. 

You may know us for our sunflower fields. Maria’s Field of Hope serves as a symbol of hope that attracts thousands of visitors each year from across the country. There are currently two locations in Avon and Sandusky, Ohio. The fields are planted each year in the spirit of Maria, as a way to love and honor courageous children now battling cancer, and to celebrate the lives of those lost.
