My Story…
The Concussion Legacy Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the study, treatment, and prevention of CTE, a degenerative brain disease that affects millions of athletes, Veterans, and many others. As a former Princeton football player, I've seen firsthand how concussions and CTE can affect a person's mental health. That is why I'm running the Cleveland Marathon 5k on Saturday, May 15th to raise money to support the Concussion Legacy Foundation.
The CLF HelpLine is providing urgently needed one-on-one support, resources, peer-to-peer mentors, and medical referrals to patients and families in need during these difficult times. Project Enlist, powered by Wounded Warrior Project, is advancing research and provides resources for active duty and military Veterans with TBI, PTSD, and CTE. These programs are crucial in making a difference.
This is a cause that I care deeply about, having several close friends, former teammates, and family members who have experienced severe post-concussion symptoms that have had a damaging effect on their quality of life.
All donations are welcome, and every bit counts! Please donate to my 2021 Cleveland Marathon fundraising campaign.
