My Story…
JODI & LILY'S RUN!
Hello Friends & Family!
I am so proud and excited to announce that my daughter Lily and I will be running the 2021 Falmouth Road Race to raise money for Hospitality Homes. Our goal is to raise at least $5,000 for this critically important cause. I joined Hospitality Homes as its Development and Communications Manager in 2019.
We Bostonians are so fortunate to live in an area with many of the finest medical institutions in the world. But for people outside our area, the cost of having to stay in Boston while receiving this critical care can be an insurmountable hurdle. And it is faced at a time when they are most vulnerable and in need of support. This includes patients like Tenleigh, a nine-year old girl from central Illinois, who has had to travel to Boston with her family numerous times for 26 specialized skull and spinal surgeries. Tenleigh and her family are just one example of the numerous patients and families who Hospitality Homes helps meet the burden of coming to Boston for life-saving care. The need for this financial support has never been greater. Because of the limited availability of volunteer host homes due to the pandemic, Hospitality Homes has had to increase its reliance on hotels and apartments to meet its mission. This has been a substantial new expense to the organization.
We should all take pride in living in a region that not only has the unique expertise needed to provide such important medical treatment, but the heart to make it available to as many people as possible. Your donations will serve an invaluable cause. Thank you for your generosity!
Much love and appreciation to all of you,
Jodi and Lily
Description
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
I'm so proud to be a member of TEAM HOSPITALITY HOMES in this year's Falmouth Road Race!
Your support means the world to me and will help continue to provide housing for patients and families traveling to Boston for critical medical treatment.
With the prohibitively expensive costs of local hotels- averaging $260 per night- and the lack of sufficient hospital- sponsored housing, many patients struggle with what to do, balancing these and other out-of-pocket expenses with the already high cost of responding to a complex or chronic illness.
Your donation is fully tax-deductible, as Hospitality Homes is a 501c3 non-profit organization.
