Help Tricia raise money

For participating in The 2021 ASICS Falmouth Road Race

My Story…

2021 celebrates the 49th annual Falmouth Road Race.  This will be my fourth year running the 7-mile route for CureSMA in honor of my niece Kate who’s living with SMA Type 1. Last year the race was run virtually, but we still found a way to get the job done and raise valuable funds.

Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) is a disease that robs people of physical strength by affecting the motor nerve cells in the spinal cord, taking away the ability to walk, eat, or breathe. It is the number one GENETIC cause of death for infants.

Kate is 3 1/2 years old now.  During these past few years our family has gone from never having heard of SMA, to being fully submerged in SMA and the Cure SMA community.  In these 3 1/2 years we have seen there be almost no hope to now having multiple options for born with SMA. Kate is part of those successes!  Just this week Kate stood on her own!

Though my children don't have SMA, I'm witness to what it can do to those who have it and their family. CureSMA provides vital support for families living with SMA, improving their quality of life today.

I'm once again asking you to support me and the CureSMA community.  In return, I will continue to run (and I really don't like to run)!  Kate has put in the work everyday and after 3 years she can stand on her own, the least I can do is run for her and everyone else living with SMA.

Thank you!
