My Story…
My niece Carol suffered an acquired brain injury four years ago. Carol is the bravest person I know as well as one of the happiest. She has been with the management team at Moving Forward Inc she transitioned out of high school. she is now 31! Carol considers Moving Forward Inc her home away from home. Moving Forward Inc welcomed Carol back quickly after her brain injury, recognizing the importance of her peers in her recovery. Carol's face lights up with joy when she tells me stories about Moving Forward and how much she enjoys being with her peers. She is so excited about the new building Moving Forward has purchased. The renovations are almost done and Carol can not wait to be spinning around the nice wide halls in her wheelchair or walker. She is raising funds for the outdoor areas. Landscaping, paving, outdoor meeting spaces, a basketball court et. These items would make her and her peers ecstatic.
I am participating in the Falmouth Road Race to support my niece Carol's day habilitation program Moving Forward Inc! I am so happy to help support this wonderful program!

Description
Moving Forward Inc's purpose is to provide Day and Employment Services to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, social anxiety, and mild intellectual disabilities, transition to greater independence. Moving Forward is truly a special organization, intentionally designed small to aid individuals who can easily be lost in a larger organization. I am running to support the efforts of Moving Forward Inc whose basic principles are care and respect for all people.
Last year our Falmouth Road Race team raised funds to aid in major renovations needed to the newly purchased building on 45 White Cap Lane in West Barnstable. This year we would are focusing on the outdoor space. Moving Forward has major landscaping needs along with a desire for an sun sheltered outdoor meeting space.
