Help Bill raise money

I am excited to announce that I will be running with Team Joslin for the 2021 Falmouth Road Race, marking my 7^th year as part of the team. 

As many know I have been using running as a more formal means of exercise over the last number of years now and I have found that signing up for races has been a great motivation to keep up with my training. While I have begun to come to the realization that my days of organized sports may be behind me, I have really found running in these events as a great way to help fulfill my competitive thirst.

As I prepared for the 2014 race, I was made aware of Team Joslin by Brian Collatos. Brian was colleague of mine at EMC, an alumnus of Bentley College and a member of the coaching staff with me for a local CYO Basketball team.  Working and coaching with Brian I began to see firsthand how this disease impacted his life and how many of the things I take for granted he needed to work diligently to monitor on a daily basis.   As I have solicited support for past races, I continue to be very surprised how many to see how many of my family, friends and colleagues have been directly impacted by diabetes. I have come to look forward to the Falmouth race based on the fact that it provides a challenging course, at great atmosphere and my ability to run for a greater cause.

While last years race was held virtually, and I did not get to experience the great atmosphere on the Cape the fact that I was still able to support this team and cause in the midst of all that was going on felt great. While the location of this years race is still to be determined I am hopefully the opportunity to be in Falmouth in August is possible. None the less the support we can provide for Joslin is the key objective. 

On Sunday August 15^th, I will run the Falmouth Road Race as part of Team Joslin. I am looking to raise $2500 to support the Joslin Diabetes Center.   Anything you can donate towards my goal would be great.   I thank you for the support.
