My Story…
My youngest daughter Jacqueline is sweet, kind, funny and incredibly smart. She has been struggling with substance use disorder for a number of years and is currently in recovery. With the help of Herren Wellness and The Herren Project our family has started to heal. Because of their family support groups I awaken most days with a sense of peace and the ability to cope. Over the past several years I have climbed many mountains including Half Dome in Yosemite, Angel's Landing in Zion, Mount Yale in Colorado. I was scheduled to climb to Mount Everest Base Camp when the pandemic hit. Some day I will get there. Right now families all over the world are climbing a virtual mountain of substance use disorder, trying to navigate a treatment system that is expensive and not user friendly. My wish is that our family can bring hope to families and individuals struggling with this disease, by raising funds for The Herren Project. With your help there is no mountain we can't summit.
