My Story…
Julia was diagnosed with NF1 just after her 1st birthday. NF1 is a neurological disorder that affects the skin, nerves, bones and muscle. Every year we see NF1 affect Julia more and more. Whether it’s the skin changes of cafe au lait spots or the few neurofibromas that have popped up, visually NF1 is becoming more apparent. We also see that her muscles are just lower in tone and that her spine is starting to curve. There are also the social emotional challenges of NF1 caused by her secondary diagnoses of ADHD and Autism.
This year I am running this race to raise money to benefit NF Northeast. I am hoping to raise awareness and funds to work towards treatment for this challenging disorder. I hope you will support me in this goal. Thank you 🥰
