OUR FINISH LINE SAYS ALS DONE!
SEAN & SEAMUS KELLY'S FUNDRAISING PAGE FOR ALS RESEARCH & CARE. #TeamKellster
My dad was always big on comebacks—in sports, working out, running, you name it. And who doesn’t love a good comeback? As 2021 shapes up to be a comeback year of epic proportions for so many, Team Kellster is recommitting to the fight against ALS with our partners at ALS ONE. You received this email because you have supported us at our Rugby Rally events at the Pig N' Whistle, our Polar Plunges in Breezy Point, or in our 2019 Boston Marathon campaign. We ask for your continued support today.
This time two years ago I was getting ready for the Boston Marathon, and with the overwhelming support of so many of you, we raised over $25,000! Thankfully, ALS ONE has not asked me to participate in any running fundraisers since then. But the break is over. On August 15, 2021, Seamus and I will run with Team ALS ONE in the Falmouth Road Race! Whether it be in Falmouth, Mass. or virtually in Breezy Point or Berkeley, we will be running Falmouth's 7-miler to fight against ALS; we will be running for those who cannot; and we will be running for our dad, John Kelly.
Now, I haven't ran more than a couple miles since the trauma I experienced on Heartbreak Hill in Boston in 2019, and Seamus likely has not run more than a 5k in his life, (unless it unwittingly happened on a rugby pitch). So our comeback starts today. And we are off to a great start. On today's first training run, I ran with the ship pictured below along the East River: "Fight ALS." I'll take that as a good sign. So as always, thank you for your support, Fight ALS, and Never Give Up!!
Thanks so much for any donation you can provide, large or small. Each is fully tax-deductible and would mean the world to us.
