My Story…
Hi Everyone! Thank you for coming to my page to read my story and donate to Tommy's place. On August 15 I will be running the Falmouth road race on Tommy's place team. Tommy's place is a vacation home being built in Falmouth, MA for children fighting cancer and their families to stay.
Tommy's place has given me so much the past 2 years of my life. Tommy's Place has a bedroom in honor of my mom, and has given me a place to turn my grief and sadness from losing my mom into a passion for giving back.
This will be my third year running the Falmouth road race in honor of my mom. Watching her fight colon cancer for 10 months without a single complaint or a "why me?" is what I hold in my heart everyday and it is especially remembered when running those 7 miles.
It is an honor to be able to have Tommy's place be something that allows me to keep my mom's light alive. My mom taught me to give back, help others, and be kind. Tommy's place embodies all of these. Cancer did not take her spirit because that is something I will always have living on through me.
Thank you to everyone who has been here from the start giving my family the same support we received while my mom was sick, and to everyone else we have met along the way. Any donation is appreciated thank you so much!
