Help Emily raise money

In lieu of gifts for Elliot’s birthday this year please consider donating to Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress. I will be running the virtual Falmouth Road Race from home to support the MDSC.
After finding out Elliot had Down syndrome I reached out to the MDSC and they sent a welcome package a personal letter congratulating us on our beautiful boy and welcoming us into a wonderful community. This was quite the opposite of the reactions I received from care providers and others whose response to his diagnosis felt like pity and sorrow. Down syndrome is only a small piece of who Elliot is and often the rest of society does not see it that way. I am supporting the MDSC because they continue to fight for changes to make the world more equitable for those with Down syndrome. The changes MDSC fight for now and in the future directly impact Elliot. Issues such has equal pay, access to higher education, and insurance coverage for needed therapies are being pushed for with MDSC and the families who are lucky enough to have someone with Down syndrome in their lives.
