Support the mission to save and heal lives through donation!
The Falmouth Road Race holds a very special place in my heart. This will be the 8th time that I will be running this race specifically as a member of NEDS, team Donate Life. This organization means so much to me as my Daddy was a kidney transplant recipient receiving the gift of life back in 2007. 💙 That gift gave us 13 beautiful years with him.
The race is now a bit different for me. This will now be the 2nd year that I will be running without my Daddy here, watching me and cheering me on. I want to continue to make my Daddy proud as he watches over me from heaven. He is the reason that I have always run this race and why it is so incredibly important to me. I want to continue to raise awareness around the importance of organ donation as I know that is what my Daddy would want me to do.
I will continue to run these 7 miles each year, the only difference is that I now have the best guardian angel helping push me and guide me across the finish line.
Description
New England Donor Services is the not-for-profit organization serving the region for organ and tissue donation. There are currently 5,500 patients waiting for an organ transplant in New England and countless others will require tissue to heal this year. With approximately half of the population registered donor, it's critical for more people to join the Donor Registry today. Funds are needed to help educate the community about the importance of organ and tissue donation and the need across the community. Give now and show your support!
