My Story…
Hey folks! As a casual 5k runner who breaks a sweat while tying my own shoes, I am honored to take on the challenge of running the (7-mile!!!) 2021 Falmouth Road Race with the Mental Health Collaborative charity team. Having personally dealt with anxiety and depression since childhood, I always strive to learn best mental health practices in order to improve my own well-being and better understand others. Mental Health Collaborative's mission is to create better informed communities and encourage the promotion of mental well-being by raising mental health awareness and offering education to improve mental literacy. In my own time, I try to have meaningful conversations with friends and family, see a therapist, and keep a healthy diet (which can be struggle). Being a former athlete, fitness continues to be an incredibly helpful outlet for me, usually with rec sports, yoga and, more recently, running. Along with MHC, I look forward to continuing the fight to end mental health stigma and assist in creating better informed communities. Thanks so much for your help!
