Help Joe raise money

I am running the Falmouth Road Race this year in Support of the SEAL Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps students who learn differently. I support those who learn differently for a multitude of reasons. First, I have seen it impact my family directly. My brothers and I were not able to attend the same high school due to some schools not having appropriate supports in place to aid those who have a different learning style. Second, I have seen friends leave various schools (elementary, high school, and college level) because of a learning difference. Third, I saw firsthand the struggle students endure when they do not receive proper supports during the year I volunteered as a part time teacher at a Boston Public High School. Ultimately a learning difference is just that, a difference. Learning differences do not discriminate between gender,  color, religion or any other trait. They impact everyone and the SEAL foundation helps students with learning differences achieve their academic and life goals in many ways. The SEAL Foundation’s goal is to create and fund educational and social opportunities in non-public schools and camp settings for students who learn differently in order to ensure they maximize their potential. They fund the delivery of a range of special education services, staff development, advocacy support and technical assistance to a broad community of non-public schools and programs that share and honor our mission of serving learners of all types. For these reasons I am asking for support in my effort to raise at least $2500 on behalf of the SEAL Foundation.
