My Story…
I am running the Falmouth Road Race again this year to benefit the KeepSmiling4Abbie Foundation. This foundation is in my former student Abbie's name who died from anaphylaxis just before turning 16. The Foundation has been working with Harvard on a wearable device (the AbbieSense) that will sense when a body is having an anaphylactic reaction and automatically alert and medicate an individual, thus saving lives.
I run for this foundation because I believe in it.
I run for this foundation because Abbie was a bright ball of sunshine and should be with us today.
I run for this foundation because my husband, among other family members, have anaphylactic reactions to food.
