This will be the 12th year I run the Falmouth Road Race in memory of my Mom and Dad. While it has been 12 years since my Mom passed, and 27 since my Dad passed, their presence is with me everyday.
Both were diagnosed, treated, and successfully beat Cancer. But the fight to cure it still must continue, for there are many who have been diagnosed with Cancer that can’t be treated and cured.
I am not a “born runner”. But I vow to finish my 12th running of The Falmouth Road Race with dignity, grace, and style- just as my Mom and Dad handled and dealt with their Cancer diagnoses. Whether I run, walk, skip, or crawl, I will complete the 7.1 mile road race.

Why I Support the American Cancer Society
Cancer has affected so many people I know and love that it’s inspired me to join this American Cancer Society event. Taking part in this event gives me the chance to make a difference and honor those touched by cancer by raising funds for groundbreaking research and services for people dealing with cancer. I’m also participating to inspire hope for those facing the disease and raising money for the American Cancer Society's event to help save lives from cancer. I hope you’ll consider signing up too.
Funds raised support cancer patient programs and groundbreaking research that can help save lives. This event also celebrates over 15.5 million cancer survivors nationwide. 15.5 MILLION. That’s huge.
