My Story…
I've run the Falmouth Road Race more than 25 times, but the last few have been the most rewarding. That's because for those last three road races, I've been able to raise money with my wife (check out her page if you want to double down on giving) for this amazing cause.
I've been lucky to have known empowerHER founder Cara Belvin for years through Sarah and it has been amazing to watch the organization grow. empowerHER does so much good for girls who have experienced the loss of their mother at an early age.

empowerHER® was formed in 2013 with a very specific mission—to empower, support and connect girls and young women up to age 24 who have experienced the loss of their mothers. empowerHER® is a supportive and inclusive community that offers year-round EVENTS for GIRLS that provides peer support and reminds girls they are not alone in their grief. Our MENTOR PROGRAM matches girls and young women with positive role models from the community to show “loss is survivable.”
