My Story…
This will be my second time participating in The Falmouth Road Race to raise money for The KeepSmilin4Abbie Foundation. Abbie's family set up The KeepSmilin4Abbie Foundation after Abbie passed away on December 18, 2013 from anaphylactic allergic reaction to food. KS4AB’s goal is to work towards stopping anaphylaxis by funding research into its early detection and increasing awareness of its severity. They have partnered with the Wyss Institute out of Boston to create a device that will revolutionize anaphylaxis treatment. You can learn more about KeepSmilin at www.keepsmilin4abbie.org and here is a link for an article on the research with the Wyss Institute https://boston.cbslocal.com/2018/10/22/project-abbie-benford-keep-smilin-4-abbie-foundation-wyss-institute-anaphylaxis/
Seven miles is A LOT for me, but with each step, I will honor Abbie and raise money for KS4AB. Abbie was a high school sophomore, field hockey goalie and such a fun girl! One of my favorite Abbie memories is when she dressed up as bubble gum stuck to the bottom of a table for Halloween – she was quite proud of that costume! All donations are tax deductible and will go straight to KeepSmilin4Abbie. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated.
Donate to help Tracy raise money for The 2021 ASICS Falmouth Road Race’s fundraising campaign.
