Supporting healthy oceans, sustainable fishing and strong coastal communities on Cape Cod.
To cap out my Master of Arts in Public Media this year, I set out to partner with an organization making a real positive change on Cape Cod for my thesis project. I reached out to the Cape Cod Commercial Fishermen's Alliance in late May and am excited to be a part, however minuscule, of the amazing work they are doing for their 30th Anniversary year. Though my semester technically ends in early August, I wanted to further contribute to their work in helping our fishermen, our oceans, and our community.
SO! I will be running for the Cape Cod Commercial Fishermen's Alliance for this year's Falmouth Road Race!
Please join me in making a gift of any size to this incredible organization. It's thanks to them that Cape Cod's long standing fishing industry is able to thrive and grow.
Thank you for your generosity!
Description
The Cape Cod Commercial Fishermen's Alliance engages the local fishing community in building lasting solutions to protect the ocean ecosystem and the future of Cape Cod's small-boat fishing fleet.
Founded in 1991 by the local fishing fleet, the Fishermen's Alliance is now a nationally-recognized nonprofit organization and the leading voice for commercial fishermen on Cape Cod.
A healthy marine environment and good fisheries management are essential to the success of Cape Cod's fishing economy. The Fishermen's Alliance is taking action now to make sure there will be future generations of fish and fishermen.
