Help Kaighla raise money

The Falmouth road race has been a special time of year for me my whole life. My grandparents built a beautiful home in Falmouth to hold all ten of there crazy children, who grew to love it here, and passed that down to me and all of my cousins. So as long as i can remember, it has always been a time that brought my huge wild family together. The memories surrounding this day I will never forget growing up as a kid. On Road race Sunday of 2012, I was broken and hopeless, feelings I felt I would never overcome. I left my family that day in emotional turmoil in hopes that this time I could turn it around. Little did I know That day was the first day of the rest of my life. I took a step in the right direction for the first time in a very long time and went into Gosnold treatment facility. Almost 9 years later to the date I live a life I could never imagine. 

the impact Gosnold has had on my life is unmatched, it was a stepping stone to a life I never could have imagined, a life I didn’t even think I deserved. As a tribute, I run each year to raise money to a foundation that saved my life and many peoples lives dear to my heart. I run in memory of my “Gam” that maybe another grandmother does not have to loose there grandchild to active addiction. 

Today, I am not just an addict in recovery. I am a mother, daughter, sister, cousin, a coworker, a teammate, and friend. If nothing else, there is hope that any addict, can loose the desire to use, and find a new way to live. So here’s to second chances, here’s to living, here’s to hope 💛
