My Story…
I'm at it again, another race and fundraising event.
A couple of years ago, after a 5 mile road race to raise money for Pearson's Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that took the life of my 7 year old niece, I decided to run a half marathon on my own. I did that successfully but it took a lot longer than I would have liked due to heat, humidity, and lots of hills. This year I thought I would change gears as I was approached by League School in Walpole, MA to join their team to raise money for the school my step-son Joshua goes to. I typically run in their 5k fun runs every year but thought I would join this 7 mile race to continue to help raise money for a great cause. League School has been tremendous in supporting us as a family as we support Josh as he grows from a boy into a man with autism. He entered this school as a 6 year old and it has been life changing. We are so thankful to have a great school for Josh. Whether it is finding a cure for Pearson Syndrome or helping a fantastic school continue to educate those with autism, I ask that you consider joining me in donating money towards this cause and my efforts towards running this event.
