This is my very first time running in the Falmouth Road Race or any road race for that matter! I’m excited and nervous but honored to be part of such a great event in support of the Cape Cod Commercial Fishermen's Alliance. Living on Cape Cod I understand how important it is to support the local fishing community and protect the waters surrounding us. Please help me support this great organization and cheer me on come race time! (I will need it! lol)
Description
The Cape Cod Commercial Fishermen's Alliance engages the local fishing community in building lasting solutions to protect the ocean ecosystem and the future of Cape Cod's small-boat fishing fleet.
Founded in 1991 by the local fishing fleet, the Fishermen's Alliance is now a nationally-recognized nonprofit organization and the leading voice for commercial fishermen on Cape Cod.
A healthy marine environment and good fisheries management are essential to the success of Cape Cod's fishing economy. The Fishermen's Alliance is taking action now to make sure there will be future generations of fish and fishermen.
