Team Eye and Ear Falmouth 2021
Hi all! This year I have the amazing opportunity to run as part of team Mass Eye and Ear in the Falmouth Road Race. As many of you know, Mass Eye and Ear is an organization that is very important to me. In March 2009 I was diagnosed with Stargardt’s macular degeneration, a genetic eye disorder that causes progressive vision loss. I have been a patient at Mass Eye and Ear since then. All of the money that I fundraise will go to MEEI’s Retinal Degeneration Research Fund, helping clinicians and scientists get one step closer to cures for blindness and low vision . My fundraising goal is $1,500.00 and I am confident that I can reach this with your help!
Description
Mass Eye and Ear clinicians and scientists are driven by a mission to find cures for blindness, deafness and diseases of the head and neck. Each year, 300,000 people—adults and children—from 80 countries seek care at Mass Eye and Ear and 20,000 of them undergo life-changing surgery.
Mass Eye and Ear is home to the world's largest vision and hearing research centers, offering hope and healing to patients everywhere through discovery and innovation. As a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital, Mass Eye and Ear trains future medical leaders in ophthalmology and otolaryngology through our highly competitive residency and fellowship programs.
