My Story…
Hi Friends! I am participating in the virtual Navy Run from June 19th-25th to raise funds for Soldier On, a Canadian Forces organization which contributes to the recovery of ill and injured members and veterans through sport, recreational, and creative activities. To support Soldier On and my contribution to the Navy Run, a donation can be made on my fundraiser page at: https://raceroster.com/events/2021/31703/2021-cfb-esquimalt-navy-run-5k10k/pledge/participant/11742070
Thank you so much for your consideration and support!
Description
ADAPT. OVERCOME. SOLDIER ON.
Each year we gather as the CFB Esquimalt community to come together to get outside and be active with our loved ones. This year we will be doing this virtually, being active together at home while supporting the ill/ injured CAF community in their desire to adapt, overcome, and Soldier On.
Soldier On is the most direct way for Canadians to contribute to supporting the recovery, rehabilitation, and reintegration of members with a physical and/or mental illness or injury through the transformative power of sport, activity, and creative pursuits.
You will assist:
- Participants in attending themed sport and activity camps to introduce participants to new ways that they can be active in their daily lives while building a community of understanding and comradery.
- In providing equipment grants for participants to purchase a piece of equipment that will help them engage in and maintain a healthy, active lifestyle.
Last year, with help like yours, over 1000 new members have joined the Soldier On family and are adapting, overcoming, and Soldiering On.
