My Story…
I'm participating in the Virtual Pittsburgh Marathon with Jessie to put an end to Alzheimer's Disease. My [second] family is affected by a rare form, early onset Alzheimer's. It is a dominant gene that has impacted the Baranowski family greatly. They have lost their father, and just this year, their sister Mindy, among other extended family. Early onset Alzheimer's begins much earlier, and the Baranowski's have lost family members in their 40s and 50s to it. Mindy was 41 years old and has three young girls.
The Baranowski's participate in research studies at The University of Pittsburgh. The Alzheimer's Association contributes a large amount of funds to these studies.
The Baranowski's have done so much for me throughout my entire life, providing love and support when I have needed it most. It is heartbreaking to see what their family is going through.
Please help me give them love and support back.
I would love to far exceed past fundraising goals in honor of Mindy this year. Every little bit counts. Let's find a cure!
